Data protection has always been very important to us at Notariat am Alstertor.

As a notary's office, we attach particular importance to the security of your personal data.

We only process your personal data to the extent that this is necessary for the establishment of contact desired by you or provision of the notarial services mandated by you or is required by law. In addition, notaries are required to maintain privacy and confidentiality pursuant to Section 18 of the German Federal Regulation on Notaries (BNotO). All our employees are also obliged to do so. Violation of the notarial confidentiality obligation is usually punishable. We have concluded corresponding confidentiality agreements with external service providers or processors for your protection in the context of the legal obligations.

When you visit our website www.alstertor.de, information is automatically sent to the server of our website by the browser used on your terminal device. c) When mandating notarial services

If you mandate us to provide services, we often still need personal data of yours beyond the information according to lit. b). The law requires the notary to collect, process and - in the context of the exercise of his duties - to transfer data to third parties (such as tax offices or registry courts) (see also item 3 below).

When you visit our website, your personal data is protected by the widely used Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technique in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. In general, this is a 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we will use 128-bit v3 technology instead. Whether a single page of our website is transmitted encrypted is indicated by the closed representation of the key or lock symbol in the bottom status bar of your browser.

We also take appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties.
